Coordinated leaves of absence and workers compensation. Worked closely with UNUM and CHUB group insurance to assist in determining the approval for team members. Managed salary approval process. Communicated and interpreted policies and procedures to determine the employees needs such as workers compensation and short term disability. Coordinated and monitored each pay period ensuring the employees were paid correctly. Pay issues were resolved by the next pay period crating less stress for the employee while they were home sick. Communicated to mangers FMLA procedures, and submitted hours to payroll for employees returning to work in a timely manner. Advised managers of temporary staffing opportunities, resulting in a more efficient work flow and less stress for the manager. Communicated other avenues that are available to employees to help with issue at home or at work which helped the employee balance their home and work life.
Handled daily administration of employee benefit: medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, STD, LTD, worker’s compensation, flexible spending accounts and 401(k), as well as the tuition reimbursement and transportation benefit programs. Created and/or maintained databases to track employee leaves—workers’ compensation, disability, FMLA, ADA, etc. Entered and tracked data in HRIS system – Deltek GCS Premier and Cost point. Prepared and audited monthly premium statements for payment for all health & welfare benefit plans.
