Processed benefit enrollment forms and maintained databases for all members and dependents of more than 20 school districts in Southern California. Cultivated relationships with benefit administrators from each school district to ensure all needs were met and all issues resolved in a timely manner. Educated members about various benefit plans available to them and guided them through our online open enrollment process. Responsible for vendor premium payments, administering Puerto Rico and Hawaii benefits plans, maintaining data integrity of SAP interface transmissions to vendor, providing customer service to associates. Oversaw administration of benefits plans in Puerto Rico and Hawaii including premium payments, open enrollment materials, website creation and COBRA. Involved in quarterly testing of SAP updates, Liaison between benefits and IT to identify programming defects and communicate defects. Back up to Benefits Admin 3 in the following areas: 401(k) funding and customer service, Canada benefits plans/leaves of absence/RRSP. Assisted LOA team with STD cases Budget responsibility of $2.5 million/mo. Responsible for processing qualified medical support orders.
Responsible for Benefits Administration for over 300 employees within four U.S. locations. Interacts with and advises employees on a range of individual benefits to include 401(k), health/dental insurance, COBRA eligibility, flexible spending accounts, FMLA and other associated benefits. Coordinates implementation of annual open enrollment programs for employees and assists with benefit negotiations with all vendors. Reviews and processes individual benefits applications and related documentation. Implemented Wellness Program within the firm which became the first law firm in RI to participate in the Governor’s Wellness Program, winning numerous awards. Introduced Employee Assistance Program and College Bound Fund Program. Processes and submits Affirmative Action Plan and EEO Report.
