Processed benefit enrollment forms and maintained databases for all members and dependents of more than 20 school districts in Southern California. Cultivated relationships with benefit administrators from each school district to ensure all needs were met and all issues resolved in a timely manner. Responsible for vendor premium payments, administering Puerto Rico and Hawaii benefits plans, maintaining data integrity of SAP interface transmissions to vendor, providing customer service to associates. Involved in quarterly testing of SAP updates, Liaison between benefits and IT to identify programming defects and communicate defects. Back up to Benefits Admin 3 in the following areas: 401(k) funding and customer service, Canada benefits plans/leaves of absence/RRSP. Assisted LOA team with STD cases Budget responsibility of $2.5 million/mo. Responsible for processing qualified medical support orders.
Benefits Administrator (contractor), Prepared and maintained new hire binders/folders and other employee benefit communications, including the benefits newsletters and the HR SharePoint sites. Assisted employees with benefits enrollment forms; ensured all required information was supplied and forms are complete. Assisted with the annual benefits open enrollment process. Completed data entry of new hires, terms and benefits information in HRIS system on a daily/weekly basis. Created and maintain I-9 files, employee files and benefits files. Prepared termination letters and terminated employees from appropriate benefits. Monitored COBRA reporting, adjusting enrollment records as needed. Monitor and track completion of the Code of Ethics, Employee Handbook and Anti-Harassment Policy. Managed and processed tuition reimbursement requests. Compiled data and materials for the annual 401(k) audits.
